Shortly I will outline how we can discover our purpose as promised in part 1. But first I would like to say a little more about purpose. Finding our purpose in life is not as difficult as it may at first seem. There are some hurdles for us to overcome though as we have been living in a system that pushes us towards using our skills to fulfil the purpose of others.

Success usually comes from a string of failed attempts. That's not to say that we failed it just means we had not quite perfected what was needed for our goal to be achieved.
At times we can spend a lot of our time trying to discover our purpose when indeed our purpose has already found us. This said we can actually bury our purpose in our pursuit for career and ability to live a desired lifestyle. You see purpose does not always equal lifestyle but it does equal fulfilment, inner peace and joy.
These come because we find that our purpose is used to help others or change things around them or us. Finding my purpose in life was really important for me because I had been told a lot of things along my life’s journey that were helpful at the time but did not point me towards fulfilling my purpose. I was told to that going to school and doing well would get me a good job. Good advice but then what is a good job and most of all, ‘why’ would I want that job? What does success look like? Is it measured by our possessions? or by how my how much money we have? Is it the type of house we live in? The car we drive or even our status in society? Many of us may have been conditioned to think of success in these ways. But could success be about individual expectations of oneself rather than societal norms.
For many of us the barriers we have are real and are definitely not excuses. But what if our reasons for not doing something fall in the category of excuses no matter how real they appear. When we see people with less limbs that ourselves or who cannot ‘see’ or ‘hear’, achieve extra ordinary things without complaining, how can we then justify our reasons for not achieving our goals. Don’t get me wrong we do have some valid reasons and real obstacles, but what if we made up in our mind that we would let nothing stop us, not circumstance, time, money or people.
